the grass is always greener...

...or so they say. I am putting my hopes on that idiom. It's not just the move, it's all the other things in my life that seem to be crowding in right now. I'm drowning...
"When you're drowning, you don't say, 'I would be incredibly pleased if someone would have the foresight to notice me drowning and come and help me,' you just scream."  -John Lennon

I'm not the screaming type but don't think it hasn't crossed my mind a time or two...

I enjoyed the poem. I'll probably end up screaming a time or two before this is over! :)

"If I am going to be drowned -- if I am going to be drowned -- if I am going to be drowned, why, in the name of the seven mad gods, who rule the sea, was I allowed to come thus far and contemplate sand and trees? . . . Then, if there be no tangible thing to hoot he feels, perhaps, the desire to confront a personification and indulge in pleas, bowed to one knee, and with hands supplicant, saying: 'Yes, but I love myself.'"

"A high cold star on a winter's night is the word he feels that she says to him. Thereafter he knows the pathos of his situation."

"The Open Boat" by Stephen Crane
